Privacy Policy

SiteMitra ("we", "our", "the platform") is a free service operated by Jenix that connects CCTV/security field technicians with System Integrators (SIs) who need on-demand site work done. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how you can control it.

1. Information we collect

• Google account info: name, email address, and profile photo, via Google Sign-In. We never see or store your Google password.
• Mobile number: collected once during onboarding, used for contact between matched SIs and technicians.
• Profile details: skills, tools, vehicle, experience, city and working areas (technicians); business name, type and service categories (SIs).
• Location: GPS coordinates — see Section 2, "Location data" below.
• Work records: site work orders, status history, ratings, and any remarks you add.
• Proof photos: photos a technician uploads to confirm completed work — see Section 3.

2. Location data

We collect precise (GPS) location only when a technician sets their availability to "Available". We do not collect location in the background, and we do not track technicians who are not marked Available. Location is used solely to rank and show nearby available technicians to System Integrators searching for work near a client site. Your exact coordinates are never shown to an SI in search results before a work order is assigned to you — only distance and general recency ("updated 4 min ago") are shown.

3. Proof photos

When a technician marks a job complete, they may upload a photo as proof of work. These photos are stored temporarily on our servers and are automatically and permanently deleted within 7 days of upload. They are used only to let the System Integrator verify the completed work.

4. How we use your information

• To match technicians with nearby site work and System Integrators with available technicians.
• To let a matched SI and technician contact each other (call/WhatsApp) directly.
• To build a technician's verified work history and trust score (jobs completed, ratings).
• To operate core app features: onboarding, notifications about assigned work, and account security.

5. What we don't do

• We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
• We do not run ads or use advertising trackers in the app.
• We do not process payments — all payment for work is agreed and settled directly between the SI and the technician, outside the app.
• We do not share your data with third parties except the service providers strictly needed to run the app (see Section 6).

6. Third-party services we use

• Google Sign-In — for authentication (no password stored by us).
• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — a free, open geocoding service used to turn addresses into map coordinates and back. No paid Google Maps API or tracking SDK is used.

7. Data storage and security

Data is stored in a MongoDB database on servers we operate, accessed only over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to production data is restricted to the SiteMitra/Jenix team for the purpose of operating and troubleshooting the service.

8. Data retention and deletion

We retain your account and work-history data for as long as your account is active, so your verified work history remains useful to you. Proof photos are deleted automatically after 7 days regardless of account status. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing support@iotsoft.com; we will action verified requests within a reasonable time, except where we are required to retain records by law.

9. Children's privacy

SiteMitra is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Your choices

• You can stop sharing location at any time by setting your availability to a non-available state.
• You can edit or remove profile information from within the app.
• You can delete your account by contacting us as described above.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
